Makes 2 9" Shells

2 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
2/3 cup shortening
1/4 cup ice water (4 tbsps)

In large bowl, combine flour and salt. cut in shortening (use pastry blender or two knives) unitl the mixture resembles coarse meal.
Sprinkle ice water over mixture 1 tbsp at a time, tossing with a fork, until the pastry can be gathered into a ball. (Use additional drops of water if necessary.)
Divide the dough in half. Chill. On a lightly floured surface, roll out 1/2 dough to an 11-12 inch circle (place a little flour on top of dough before rolling and on rolling pin).
Place in 9 inch pie pan. Roll out second half.
