2 cups uncooked rice
4 cups boiling water
1/2 stick margarine
Salt

Boil water in teapot.
Rise rice*
Melt Margarine. Saute rised rice in Margarine. Add boiling wat3er. Add Salt (approx. 1/2 tsp.) Cook on medium heat 15-20 minutes, until water is absorbed.

*NOTE: When making Syrian food that requires uncooked rice or cracked wheat, first soak the rice/wheat in cool water... this rinses it a little and also starts to soften it. The rice can then be drained and the wheat is squeezed until very little water remains.
