2 1/2 (6-8) tart cooking apples apples such as granny smith or greening
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
Milk
Pie crust (2 shells)

Peal, core and slice apples lengthwise. (You should have about 8 cups). Mix apple slices with sugarm flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Spoon apples into bottom crust. Trim to 1/2 inch larger than pie pan. Turn excess pastry uner bottom crust. Pinch edge. Cut a few steam holes in upper crust. Lightly coat with milk.

Bake at 425 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Until golden brown.
